
Women’s tennis to take on Mountain West Fall Qualifier

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's tennis heads to Las Vegas for the first-ever Mountain West Tennis Fall Qualifier, held Oct. 2-5, at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The MW Tennis Fall Qualifier is one of four qualifying tournaments into the new NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, held Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas. The top four singles players and three doubles teams qualify for the NCAA Championships. The NCAA team championships remains in the Spring.
The format for the qualifier will be single elimination singles and doubles draws. The doubles draw will be 16 groups and the singles draw will be 32 players. There is also one consolation round with quarterfinal shootout included.
10:30 -2 p.m. MT on Wednesday, women's competition will take place, starting with the doubles round of 16. Opening round of singles is set to begin at 11:30, followed by the round of 16 in the afternoon.
Nadia Kojonroj (4-1), Arianna Van Houweling (3-2) and Sofia Mavor (4-2) will represent Air Force Women's Tennis in singles competition; In doubles, Van Houweling (5-1) and Mavor (4-2) will compete together once again after opening fall competition with a 3-1 record as a pair at Air Force's own Bedford Cup.

Nadia Kojonroj vs. Maya Dutta (Boise State) – 11:30 a.m. MT
Arianna Van Houweling vs. Viktoriya Zhadzinskaya (Colorado State) – 11:30 a.m. MT
Sofia Mavor vs. Jo-Yee Chan (San Diego State) – 11:30 a.m. MT
Doubles:
Van Houweling/Mavor vs. Cheuk Ying Shek/Carla Urchoegiua (San Jose State) – 10:30 a.m.
