
No. 7 Air Force improves to 3-0 with win over No. 19 UTEP

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force, ranked seventh in the nation, improved to 3-0 on the season by defeating No. 19 UTEP, 4717-4663, in a dual meet, Saturday, Oct. 19, in El Paso, Texas.
The Falcons claimed the top five spots in aggregate as senior Lauren Hurley won with a score of 1181. Freshman Lilian Wytko was second (1180), senior Scott Rockett was third (1179), junior Victoria Leppert was fourth (1172) and sophomore Megan Torrence was fifth (1170).
Rockett won the smallbore with a 589. Wytko was second (586) and Hurley was third (584). Hurley won the air rifle with a 597. Torrence was second (595) and Leppert was third (594).
Air Force is back on the range when the Falcons host the President's Trophy against Army and Navy, Nov. 2, at the Cadet Rifle Range. Air Force will then face Army in a dual on Nov. 3 at the Olympic Training Center.
