Utah Valley Takes Air Force Down, 2-0

USAF ACADEMY – Utah Valley outscored Air Force, 2-0, Sunday afternoon in Western Athletic Conference play. The Wolverines (6-5-3, 1-3-1 WAC) tallied their first league win this season while the Falcons drop to 1-11-1 with a 1-4 mark in the conference.
Air Force attempted six shots on the match but none to challenge UVU keeper Ben Williams who took the win the zero saves. Utah Valley was led by two-time WAC Player of the Week Omar Yehya's six shots and an early goal (7'). Yehya's goal was assisted by Gilles Aurelian and Trevor Walk.
The Wolverines added an insurance goal in the 85th minute via a set piece just atop the keepers' box. Manuel Cordeiro was able to clear Will Collins' reach for his first goal this season off the free kick. At the final horn, Collins had four saves.
Up next, Air Force hosts Utah Tech and UNLV on October 24 and 27, respectively. Action at Cadet Soccer Stadium is slated for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively. Sunday's match will serve as Senior Day for the Falcons' class of 2025.
