Falcons Head into Colorado Springs for UCCS Open

The Air Force cross country team is back in action – and at Monument Valley Park – this weekend, when some of its younger runners will run at the Colorado Springs XC Open, hosted by UCCS, on Friday, Oct. 11.
MEET INFORMATION
The Colorado Springs XC Open will be held at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs on Friday, Oct. 11. The men will kick off the day with an 8K race at 9:00 a.m. (MT), while the women will follow with a 6K event 45 minutes later. The course will include a 2000-meter lower loop and a 2000-meter upper loop over grass, crushed gravel, and packed dirt. To reach the park, exit I-25 at Uintah. Turn left at Cascadeand left on Fontanero. Parking is available along the streets in the surrounding neighborhood.
MEN HOLD AT NO. 28
The #AFXC men remained No. 28 in the latest USTFCCCCA Division I National Coaches Poll on Oct. 8. The Falcons have now been mentioned in the national conversation (either ranked or receiving votes) for 59-straight weeks – a program-record streak that dates back to the opening poll of the 2017 season.
THE NEXT COURSE
Air Force heads back to Wisconsin next week for Pre-Nationals on Saturday, Oct. 19.
