Leggett Breaks Air Force Goals Record Against #15 CBU

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's water polo (12-16, 0-2 WCC) dropped a 21-13 match to #15 California Baptist (19-9, 3-0 WCC) Friday afternoon on Senior Day at the Cadet Natatorium. Sophomore Tom Leggett broke the school record for most goals in a season with his team-high four goals.
The four goals gives Leggett 125 total on the season. He surpassed the previous record of 123 set by Grant Snyder in 2022.
CBU took control of a close game with a big run in the third quarter. With Air Force trailing 12-9, the Lancers went on a 7-0 run to make it 19-9 by the end of the quarter. The Falcons responded by out-scoring CBU 4-2 in the fourth quarter, but the rally was a little to late.
Joining Leggett with five points, was Jacob Yi. Yi tallied two goals and three assists. Jake Dixon, Kaito Ham and Jack Richards scored two goals each. Jonah Vander Veen added two assists.
Luca Smith had five saves in goal for the Falcons. Jay Pyle also saw 16 minutes in goal in reserve.
Prior to the game, the Falcons honored its 2024-25 senior class of David Brown, Kaito Ham and Jacob Yi.
Air Force returns to action Sunday against #6 Pacific.
