Air Force Falls in Three at Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. – The Air Force volleyball team fell in straight sets to Fresno State this morning (Nov. 2), as it closed out a three-match road swing with a 21-25, 15-25, 17-25 loss inside the Save Mart Center.
Senior Ella Tschuor paced the Falcons with eight kills, while freshman Grace Fiaseu and sophomore Anna Leahy added five kills apiece – with the latter's tally coming on a team-high .200 (5-2-15) outing. Fiaseu, along with juniors Ashley Bible adn Alex Hatchett, shared the team lead in blocks (two solo for Fiaseu; one solo, one assisted for Bible and Hatchett), while the junior also shared the team lead in aces with Tschuor (one ace each). Freshman Mia Loyd tallied nine assists and junior Jordan Suan rounded out the Falcons' stat leaders with 13 digs.
The Bulldogs controlled the contest from the opening serve, out-hitting Air Force by nearly 200 points (260-067) and allowing just three ties during the match.
Air Force returns to the Academy next week for its final full week of home contests in 2024. The Falcons will host Utah State on Thursday, Nov. 7, before welcoming Nevada to Cadet East Gym on Saturday, Nov. 9.
