
Track & Field Announces 2024-25 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force track and field team recently unveiled its schedule for the upcoming season – a campaign that will see the squad become "road warriors" in 2024-25, as the on-going renovation of the Cadet Field House Indoor Track will have the Falcons traveling for the entire indoor season and the action-packed outdoor lineup will have the team at the Academy just once.

Air Force will officially open the season next Saturday (Dec. 7), as the team splits for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Opener in Boston and the Wyoming Power Meet in Laramie.
When the team returns to action in 2025, the Falcons will make two trips to Boulder (Potts Invitational on Jan. 17-18, Colorado Invitational on Jan. 31-Feb. 1), with the latter being a split-squad weekend that includes the UNM Team Open in Albuquerque. Air Force will also divide the team on Feb. 14-15, as its distance runners heads to Seattle for the Husky Classic and the rest travel to Lubbock for Texas Tech's Jarvis Scott Open. The Falcons' will also compete at the Ted Nelson Invitational (Jan. 24-25) in College Station, Texas, and Husker Invitational (Feb. 7-8) in Lincoln. Neb., before wrapping up the regular season at Western Colorado's Last Chance Meet in Gunnison on Feb. 21.
The first half of the season will conclude with the Mountain West Championships in Albuquerque on Feb. 27- Mar. 1, and the NCAA Championships in Virginia Beach on March 14-15.
As always, the Falcons' outdoor schedule will feature tripe to several nationally recognized competitions, including the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (March 26-29) and Stanford Invitational (April 4-5) during the first three weeks of the campaign. Air Force will also compete at the Bobcat Invitational during that visit to Texas, while the meet at Stanford will mark the first of four trips to California this spring. Air Force will send its combined event athletes to Azusa for the Bryan Clay Multis on April 10-11, before the full squad heads there for the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 16-19 – a busy weekend that includes the Pacific Coast Intercollege (April 17) and Beach Invitational (April 18-19) in Long Beach. Air Force will also travel to Arizona this season, as part of the team will compete at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson on May 3.
Closer to home, Air Force will face off against its local foes at CSU Pueblo (Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational on March 21-22), Colorado (Colorado Invitational on April 4-5) and Colorado State (Doug Max Invitational on May 3), before hosting many of those same teams at the annual Air Force Twilight Open on May 9.
The Mountain West Outdoor Championships will kick off the postseason on May 15-17, as the conference field heads to Clovis, Calif. For the seventh time in as many championship meets. The NCAA Outdoor Championships begin with the West Preliminary in College Station, Texas, on May 28-31 and conclude with the championship rounds in Eugene, Ore., on Jun 11-14.
