Air Force Men’s Tennis Defeats North Dakota, 6-1

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis defeated North Dakota, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at the USAFA Indoor Tennis Courts. The win lifted the Falcons to 2-3 on the season.

The Falcons won the doubles point and went 5-1 in singles play.

Air Force opened with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to claim the point. Phillip Deaton and AJ Moore won at No. 3 over Alex/Zgraggen 6-3. Nick Vroman and Kyle Garner then won at No. 1 over Koua/Lozano 6-4 to clinch.

In singles, Deaton got things going with a win at No. 1 over Ange-Kevin Koua in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. After North Dakota won at No. 4, Moore won at No. 3 over Jerall Yasin in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 to make it a 3-1 match.

Arjun Kersten then won at No. 2 over Victor Moreno Lozano 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4 to clinch the match. Garner then won at No. 6 over Jayo Hong in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 and Alec Fritzinger won at No. 5 over Ethan Terry in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Air Force returns to action Friday, Feb. 16, against Stetson at the USTA Center in Orlando, Fla.
