Air Force Men’s Tennis Travels To USTA Campus To Take on Stetson and Army

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis heads to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., for a pair of matches this weekend, Feb. 16-17. The Falcons take on Stetson on Friday and Army West Point as part of College MatchDay on Saturday.

About the Falcons: Air Force returns seven letterwinners off the 2022-23 team, which went 12-11 on the season. The Falcons welcome three newcomers, including two freshmen. Air Force returns its top No. 1 singles players in All-MW singles and doubles selection in junior Arjun Kersten and senior and team captain Nick Vroman. In addition, the Falcons return sophomore Phillip Deaton, the 2023 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
Last time out: Air Force split a pair of home matches last weekend, falling 4-3 to Idaho State on Friday and then defeating North Dakota 6-1 on Sunday.
Urbina takes over program: Evan Urbina enters his first season as the head coach for Air Force. Urbina helped build up the program the previous nine years as the assistant coach under Dan Oosterhous, who retired from coaching after the 2022-23 season.
About Stetson: Stetson is 5-2 on the season. The Hatters swept Florida National University in a double dual last weekend.
About Army: Army is 2-5 on the season. The Black Knights fell to Fairfield and Georgetown last weekend
