
Game times set for Air Force-AIC playoff series

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force earned a first-round bye and home ice for the Atlantic Hockey quarterfinals. The fourth-seeded Falcons will host fifth-seeded AIC for a best-of-three series, Friday-Sunday, March 8-10 at the Cadet Ice Arena.
The Friday and Saturday games will start at 7:05 pm MT while the game on Sunday, March 10 (if necessary) will start at 5:05 pm MT, in the best of three format.
Air Force is 18-17-1 overall, while AIC is 16-14-4. Air Force and AIC split a two-game series, Jan. 12-13, at the Cadet Ice Arena. AF won the first game, 6-1, as Chris Hedden had three points (2-1-3) and Guy Blessing had 25 saves. AIC won game two, 4-1, as Alfred Lindberg had three points (2-1-3) and Yellow Jacket goalie Nil Wallstrom stopped 29 of 30.
The winner of the quarterfinal series advances to the AHA semifinals, March 15-17. The best-of-three semifinal series will be hosted by the highest two remaining seeds.
