Bandon Dunes Championship Canceled

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Due to weather on the Oregon coast, the Bandon Dunes Championship, scheduled for March 10-12, has been canceled.
The first round was scheduled for Sunday, March 10, but was postponed due to weather. The tournament began Monday morning, but was halted in the afternoon due to weather. Most golfers played between 10 and 12 holes before the weather forced another postponement.
Kahle birdied two of his first three holes and is at +1 after 12 holes. He is tied for 18th overall. Sophomore Alvaro Fonseca made three birdies on the back side and is at +2 after 12 holes. A pair of freshman, Eli Huntington and Carson Baker, are at +4 after 11 holes. Sophomore Brooks Morrell is at +6 after 11 holes. Senior Aaron Kuznik, competing as an individual, is at +9 after 11 holes.
Air Force was in 10th place in the 16-team tournament with a team score of +10. Utah, ranked 25th in the nation, leads the field at -4. Oregon State is second (even) and San Jose State is third (+2).
However, because of weather conditions and the forecast, the tournament has been canceled.
Air Force returns to action at the UC San Diego Invitational, March 23-25, in La Jolla, Calif.
