About the Falcons: Air Force is 5-7 on the season. The Falcons return seven letterwinners off the 2022-23 team, which went 12-11 on the season. The Falcons welcome three newcomers, including two freshmen. Air Force returns its top No. 1 singles players in All-MW singles and doubles selection in junior Arjun Kersten and senior and team captain Nick Vroman. In addition, the Falcons return sophomore Phillip Deaton, the 2023 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
Last time out: Air Force dropped a 6-1 contest last Friday to BYU and then came back Sunday to defeat Montana State 5-2.
Urbina takes over program: Evan Urbina enters his first season as the head coach for Air Force. Urbina helped build up the program the previous nine years as the assistant coach under Dan Oosterhous, who retired from coaching after the 2022-23 season.
About Denver: Denver is 13-0 on the season. The Pioneers won 4-3 at New Mexico in their last outing.
