
Four Falcons earn academic all-district honors

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Four Air Force hockey player were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. The four selections in one season are the most in school history.
Sam Brennan and Luke Robinson, both from the class of 2024, were named to the team for the second straight season. Rising senior Guy Blessing and rising junior Holt Oliphant were honored for the first time.
Brennan graduated with a 3.93 grade point average as a computer science major. The defenseman played in 36 games last season and had seven points, was a +3 and blocked 36 shots. Robinson graduated with a 3.96 GPA as an operations research major. A team captain, he played in all 38 games and had nine points, was a +6 and had 46 blocked shots.
Blessing carries a 3.89 GPA as an astronautical engineering major. He started all 38 games in goal and had a 2.81 goals-against average, a .899 saves percentage and had two shutouts last season. Oliphant has a 3.80 GPA as a geospatial science major. The winter played in all 38 games and tied for second on the team with 10 goals and was eighth on the team with 14 points.
All four are on the ballot for academic All-America honors. Men's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
