Air Force Returns Home to Open Mountain West Play

The Air Force volleyball team kicks off Mountain West action this week, when it hosts San Diego on Thursday, Sept. 26, and UNLV on Saturday' Sept. 28, at the Academy's Cadet East Gym.
MATCH INFORMATION
Thursday's contest will begin at 6:00 p.m., while Saturday's match is slated for 1:00 p.m. (MT) start. Both events will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network, while live stats will be available via StatBroadcast. Direct links can be found on the team's schedule page at GoAirForceFalcons.com. Due to home tennis and fencing tournaments this weekend, there will be increased traffic around the Cadet Gym on Saturday. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early and should plan to park in the lots east of the Field House.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
San Diego State improved to 8-2 following a pair of five-set wins over Gonzaga and Eastern Washington in Spokane, while UNLV – who will play at New Mexico on Thursday – enters the week with a 7-4 record after going 1-2 (3-2 win over UC San Diego, 1-3 loss to No. 21 USC, 0-3 loss to LMU) in Los Angeles. The Rebels, who were receiving votes in the national poll earlier this season, is currently ranking among the top 50 nationally in blocks, with a 2.54 per-set average.
