Coach Hollander talks mindset and individual effort preparing for dual competition, preparations ahead of hosting Colorado
Air Force Women's Tennis, after a successful fall season and productive winter offseason, prepares to open dual competition on Friday night, as the Falcons get set to host Colorado in Cadet East Gym at 5 p.m. MT.

Falcons' Fall Outlook:
In open doubles/singles competition this past fall season, Air Force combined for 18 doubles and 40 singles victories across five tournaments, with freshmen Sofia Mavor (6-3), Shivaani Selvan (6-6) and sophomore Giovanna Sanchirico (6-4) each leading the way in wins.
Fall successes for the Falcons were underscored by one of the program's most successful showings in its history at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains (Sept. 13-15), as Air Force picked up a pair of singles bracket titles (Mavor, Nadia Kojonroj) had two singles runners-up (Selvan, Sanchirico) and notched a doubles champion (Mavor, Arianna Van Houweling) in the three-day tournament at Cadet Gym.
2025 Spring Schedule:
Air Force opens its 2025 slate on Jan. 17, hosting Colorado at 5 p.m. The following weekend, the Falcons host a doubleheader at Cadet Gym, playing Montana and Metro State on the 25th at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
Air Force spends the bulk of its February on the road, open a seven-match road swing in Des Moines, Iowa, to face Minnesota (Feb. 1) and Drake (Feb. 2). Five days later, the Falcons are in Spokane, Washington for a pair against Eastern Washington (Feb. 7). and Gonzaga (Feb. 8).
Once again, the Falcons return to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida to take on UCF on Feb. 14, followed by facing Navy at College MatchDay. Air Force closes its three-match trip in the Sunshine State visiting Florida State to take on the Seminoles in Tallahassee on the 16th.
The Falcons are back at the Academy starting on Feb. 22 for a three-match home stand, hosting Montana State (10 a.m.), Omaha (10 a.m.) on March 1 and St. Thomas (9 a.m.) on March 9.
Mountain West play begins on March 14, as the Falcons travel to San Diego State, followed by a stop in Las Vegas to take on UNLV on the 16.
The next two weekends has Air Force back at home, hosting Utah State on March 23, followed by a pair of contests against San Jose State (11 a.m.) on the 28th and Fresno State (10 a.m.) on the 30th.
Air Force closes its conference road schedule with a two-stop trip in Albuquerque to face New Mexico (March 4) and then Nevada in Reno (March 6), before taking on Colorado State in the Falcons' road finale on March 11 in Fort Collins.
Regular-season play ends at home with the Falcons hosting Boise State on March 13 at 1 p.m., followed by Wyoming on the 17th at 5 p.m.
League opponents will face off for a shot at a bid into the 2025 NCAA Tournament, meeting in Las Vegas Apr. 23-26 for the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women's Tennis Championship.
