Installation access changes for athletic events from Jan. 17-19
The U.S. Air Force Academy processes to access the installation continue to affect this weekend's athletic events. While the installation remains open, if you do not have a DoD ID card you will need to obtain a pass to enter the base. Ticket holders wishing to attend can request a base pass by using the links below for each game. Once you register, you will receive a message with a QR code on your phone to present at the gate when entering the Academy. Fans will present game tickets when entering each venue. All ticketed attendees will need to enter through the North Gate only to get to the Cadet Field House.

Air Force Debuts the AFSOC APLS Singlet
The Air Force wrestling team will honor Air Force Special Operations Command with the 2024 edition of the Air Power Legacy Series singlet. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) is always ready to answer our nation's call and provide forces for worldwide deployment. The Falcons will wear the special singlet for the South Dakota State and North Dakota State dual meets.

The Falcons at a Glance
Air Force has seven underclassmen in the starting lineup with three seniors rounding out the dual meet starters. Freshman 165-pounder Logan Fowler has the best win percentage on the team (.818), boasting nine wins with just two losses. Freshman standout Carter Nogle has represented Air Force's 141 class in all five duals this season, he has two pins in dual action and 16 wins on the season for the most by any AF wrestler. Nogle also leads the team in pins (10). Freshman 197-pounder Brian Burburija was the first Falcon to crack the national rankings, reaching No. 30 earlier this season. Burburija has represented AF in all five duals this season.
Team captain Gage Musser (184) alongside Alec Viduya (149) and Jack Ganos (174) represent the Falcons' senior class. The 2024-25 campaign marks the first season as a starter for each senior. The class of 2025 starters combine for 28 wins on the season.
A Look at South Dakota State
SDSU returns seven of its 10 starters from last year, including All-Americans Tanner Jordan, Cade DeVos and Bennett Berge. The team also returns NCAA Qualifiers Derrick Cardinal, Alek Martin and Cael Swensen.
The Jacks brought home a program record four All-Americans in 2023-24 with Tanner Jordan, Cade DeVos, Bennett Berge and Tanner Sloan. The Jacks tied their program record of eight NCAA Qualifiers by sending Cardinal, Martin, Swensen and Clay Carlson.
The projected starting lineup for the Jackrabbits this year includes five athletes in their sixth year of collegiate eligibility. Amongst those five athletes, they total eight NCAA Qualifications, 1 Big 12 Title and two All-American honors.
SDSU is ranked No. 12 in the NWCA Coaches Poll this week. They are up two spots from last week when they were ranked No. 14 The Jacks come in ranked No. 3 in the NWCA Coaches Mid-Major Poll.
A Look at North Dakota State
North Dakota State's Gavin Drexler and Kyle Burwick appear in both the FloWrestling and InterMat rankings this week for the Bison, while Aidan Brenot is ranked in Flo. Gavin Drexler is at No. 25 in the Flo rankings and No. 29 in IntertMat, while Burwick is No. 31 in Flo and No. 25 in InterMat. Brenot appears in the Flo rankings at No. 32. Max Petersen appeared in the InterMat rankings after the Southern Scuffle, but fell out during an idle week last weekend. Tayshaun Glover has also made spot appearances in the rankings in recent weeks.
NDSU finished with six placers at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, led by Max Petersen, who took second overall at 157 pounds. The Bison finished fifth overall out of 23 teams in the field. Kyle Burwick, Boeden Greenley and Aidan Brenot all took fourth overall, with all three securing ranked victories in their tournaments. Gabriel Schumm and Devin Wasley also secured placing finishes for the Bison.

Air Force takes the fight to the Carolinas for a pair of duals on January 24 and 26. On Friday (Jan. 24) the Falcons will take on Presbyterian in Templeton Gymnasium, Clinton, South Carolina. On Sunday (Jan. 26) Air Force will do battle with Davidson in John M. Belk Arena, Davidson, North Carolina. Action is slated for 11 am EST and 4 pm EST, respectively.

Falcon wrestling concluded the 12th Lehman Open hosted at Franklin & Marshall with a pair of place winning finishes in senior team captain Gage Musser (5th) and classmate Jack Ganos (4th). Sophomore heavyweight Antonio Ramos had a highlight performance, knocking off All-American Gavin Hoffman by pin (5:18). Hoffman, a graduate student, was ranked 17th in the nation heading into the bout. Freshman standout Carter Nogle let it fly in the 141 division with five wins, his only loss coming to ACC Champion and All-American Ryan Jack (NC State). Nogle pinned three opponents including Pat Phillips (F&M) who was nationally ranked last season. Nogle reached his match limit before competing in a placing bout.
