Air Force rifle sweeps The Citadel

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team completed the sweep of The Citadel with a 4719-4162 win Sunday, Jan. 19, in Charleston, S.C.
Senior Scott Rockett, junior Victoria Leppert and freshman Lily Wytko led the Falcons in aggregate, each shooting an 1181. Senior Lauren Hurley and freshman Bethany Butler each shot an 1173, while William Steen was sixth (1161) and Megan Torrence was seventh (1160).
Rockett won the smallbore with a 586. Leppert and Wytko tied for second (584), Butler was fourth (580), Hurley was fifth (577) and Steen was sixth (573).
In air rifle, Wytko and Leppert tied for the top spot with a 597. Hurley was third (596), Rockett was fourth (595), Butler was fifth (593), Megan Torrence was sixth (590).
Air Force travels to Alaska-Fairbanks for a pair of duals, Jan. 25-26.
