The Matchup: Air Force's aggregate season average of 4714.889 is the seventh-best in the nation. UAF's average of 4737.857 is second best. UAF's air rifle average of 2385.714 is the best in the nation while Air Force is fifth at 2381.00.
The Records: Air Force has won three straight duals and is 9-4 overall this season. UAF has won five straight and is 8-1 on the season.
Earlier This Season vs. The Nanooks: Alaska, ranked first in the nation at the time, defeated Air Force, 4735-4711, in a dual meet at the Academy's Cadet Rifle Range, Nov. 9. Nanook Cecilia Ossi won the aggregate with an 1188. Senior Lauren Hurley was the top Falcon, finishing third overall with a score of 1183. Freshman Lily Wytko was fourth (1182) and junior Victoria Leppert was ninth at 1170. Hurley won the air rifle, matching her season high of 599, just one point off of her perfect score of 600 she shot last season. Wytko was third with a 597. Sophomore Megan Torrence was seventh (594) and Leppert was eighth (593). In smallbore, the Nanooks took the top three spots. Wytko was fourth (585), Hurley was fifth (584) and Scott Rockett was seventh (582).

Hurley's air rifle score of 599 (Nov. 9) is tied as the fifth-best in the nation.

Senior Scott Rockett, junior Victoria Leppert and freshman Lily Wytko led the Falcons in aggregate, each shooting an 1181. Senior Lauren Hurley and freshman Bethany Butler each shot an 1173, while William Steen was sixth (1161) and Megan Torrence was seventh (1160). Rockett won the smallbore with a 586. Leppert and Wytko tied for second (584), Butler was fourth (580), Hurley was fifth (577) and Steen was sixth (573). In air rifle, Wytko and Leppert tied for the top spot with a 597.
