Ellison Taylor, Samantha Villa Earn Wins at Chuck Davey Classic

DETROIT, Mich. -- Juniors Ellison Taylor and Samantha Villa captured victories for the Air Force boxing team on Friday, Oct. 24, as the Falcons took on their counterparts from Navy and Army West Point at the annual Chuck Davey Classic at the historic Detroit Athletic Club. Overall, Air Force went 2-4 on the opening night of its Midwest trip, finishing 1-1 against the Midshipmen and 1-3 against the Black Knights.

Taylor collected a 165-pound win over Navy's Jace Nelson, enroute to being named the night's Outstanding Boxer, while Villa put the Falcons on the board with a 125-pound decision over Army West Point's Stephanie Galindo.
