LARAMIE, Wyo., - Air Force women's soccer (4-6-2, 2-2-0) collects their second Mountain West win of the 2025 campaign and first league shutout over Wyoming (6-4-4, 1-2-2), 1-0, on Thursday afternoon at Madrid Sports Complex.
The Falcons compiled just a trio of shots on goal and one goal scored by Kendall Rippley, her third of the season, while Annika Jost and Chase Borntreger earned assists. Goalkeeper Trishelle Lopez defended well with five saves.
After halftime, Air Force came out with renewed aggression and determination. Just four minutes into the second half, at the 49th minute, Borntreger sent a pass forward from the middle third, finding Jost, who slipped the ball left to a ready Rippley. The junior fired it to the back-right corner of the net.
On Sunday October 12, the Falcons will face Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., at 4 p.m. MT.
