FORT COLLINS, Colo., - The Falcons (4-6-3), closed their weekend in a 1-1 draw with Colorado State (8-2-3) on Sunday evening at CSU Soccer Field.
Over the course of the game, Air Force totaled seven shots and played aggressive defense to keep Colorado State at bay, seeing Trishelle Lopez log a trio of saves in goal.
The Rams struck early in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead with a goal from CSU's Michaela McGowan in the third minute. The Falcons were able to level the score at 1-1, at the 19' mark. Initially it seemed as though Kendall Rippley locked in a hard shot to score, but it was ruled an own goal by Colorado State.
The Falcons return to Cadet Soccer Stadium for a Mountain West match against UNLV, on Thursday October 16 at 6 p.m. MT.
