
Falcons to Face UNLV at Cadet Soccer Stadium

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., - Air Force (4-6-3, 2-2-1) looks to face UNLV (3-8-4 (1-2-3) after a pair of road matches, on Thursday October 16 at Cadet Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. MT.

Base Access
Access procedures at the U.S. Air Force Academy continue to affect athletic events. While the installation remains open, anyone without a DoD ID card must obtain a visitor pass to enter the base.
New this year: Passes will now be issued monthly instead of requiring a separate submission for each event. This means ticket holders only need to complete the form once per month to gain access to all events during that time. Ticket holders can request a base pass using the link provided below.
After registering, you will receive a message on our phone to present at the gate when entering the Academy. Fans must also present their game tickets at each venue. All tickets and credentialed attendees can enter through the North or South gate. North gate is recommended for access to athletic fields; while fans are encouraged to use the North and South gates for football games.

The Rams struck early in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead with a goal from CSU's Michaela McGowan in the third minute.

Freshmen forwards, AJ Heap and Zahra Friess are showing up as strong forces for the Falcons. Heap scored her first collegiate goal against Northern Colorado. The Ogden, Utah native has totaled nine shots with four on goal in her 602 minutes of play, across 10 starts and appearances in all 13 matches. Friess earned her first career start against UNC, scored her first goal in the Falcon uniform at Eastern Washington, and scored Air Force's lone goal against Boise State. So far, she has logged 5 shots on goal in 410 minutes.

Freshman, Trishelle Lopez, has claimed the starting spot in 11 Falcon matches this season to total 990 minutes of play. The Cape Coral, Fla., native has managed 46 saves for a .730 save percentage. She posted a season-best performance against Rutgers, collecting her first collegiate shutout, a career-high six saves, and USAFA's Cadet Athlete of the Week honors. Lopez has recorded a trio of six-save matches.
Lopez earned her second career shutout in a 1-0 win at Wyoming while making eight saves across two matches to earn Mountain West Freshman of the Week, the Falcons' first weekly award of the 2025 season.
Veteran goalkeeper, Kylie McElroy has taken a pair of starts to open the season, most recently at Gonzaga. She asserted her dominance in goal, collecting her first shutout of the season, 2-0, and recording a season-high seven saves.
