
Falcons shoot second best score of season in Nebraska

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team shot its second-best score of the season in a tri-meet at the University of Nebraska, Saturday, Nov. 22, in Lincoln, Neb. Nebraska, ranked sixth in the nation, won the meet with a score of 4743. Ole Miss, ranked fifth, was second (4712) and 15th-ranked Air Force was third (4705).
Freshman Prisha Thomas was the top Falcon, matching her career bests in smallbore (585), air rifle (594) and aggregate (1179), placing seventh overall. Junior Megan Torrence placed 10th with a season high 1172 aggregate, including a season high 580 in smallbore.
Senior Victoria Leppert matched her career high in smallbore with a 590 to place fourth. Thomas' 585 in smallbore was eighth on the day.
In air rifle, sophomore Lily Wytko shot a season-high 597, just one off of her career high, and placed third. Thomas' 594 was sixth and Torrence's 592 was ninth.
The same three teams compete again on Sunday, Nov. 23, in Lincoln, Neb.
