
Air Force prepares for a pair of duals on the road

This Week: Air Force travels to the state of Georgia for a pair of dual meets against second-ranked Georgia Southern (Jan. 17) and The Citadel (Jan. 18). Live scoring will be available at MegaLink.
The Rankings: Air Force is ranked 15th in the CRCA national poll. Air Force's team aggregate average of 4691.87 is 12th in the nation. The Falcons rank 12th in air rifle (2371.25).
Top Falcons: Senior team captain Victoria Leppert leads the team with a season aggregate average of 1174.125. Freshman Prisha Thomas is second on the team at 1173.285 while Megan Torrence is third (1165.375) and Lily Miller is fourth (1165.25). Lily Wytko leads the team with an air rifle average of 595.0. Torrence is second at 593.625. Leppert leads the team in smallbore average (582.125) while Thomas is second (581.571).
Last Time Out: Senior team captain Victoria Leppert led the Air Force rifle team in a dual meet against Ole Miss, Nov. 23, in Lincoln, Neb. Leppert shot an aggregate score of 1177 to place fourth overall. Ole Miss won the dual, 4728-4697. Freshman Prisha Thomas was fifth in aggregate score with an 1174, followed by Lily Miller (1169), Megan Torrence (1162) and Bethany Butler (1161). Thomas and William Steen led the Falcons in smallbore with a 582 and Leppert shot a 581. In air rifle, sophomore Lily Wytko matched her season high of 597 to place second in the meet. Leppert shot a 596 and Thomas shot a 592.
Wytko Strikes Gold: Sophomore Lily Wytko won the gold medal at the 2025 USA Shooting Winter Air Gun competition, Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Wytko shot a 253.4 in the final to win the junior women's air rifle competition. Wytko also earned the gold medal at the 2024 junior air rifle competition, shooting a 250.0.
Looking Ahead: After the matches in Georgia, the Falcons will face UTEP in a dual meet, Jan. 24, in El Paso, Texas.
