
Air Force Falls to Austin Peay In Home Opener

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's basketball dropped a 74-54 contest in hits home-opener Saturday afternoon at Clune Arena. Freshman guard Ethan Greenberg led the Falcons with 21 points.
Austin Peay (2-0) forced Air Force into 22 turnovers, which led to a 31-15 advantage in points off turnovers. The Governers had three players in double-figures scoring, led by forward Tate McCubbin's 19 points.
The Falcons struggled to find their shot all game, shooting 37 percent from the field and just 33 percent from the line.
Greenberg led the Falcons on offense, connecting on 6-of-10 from three-point range, and finishing 7-of-12 from the field. Junior Wesley Celichowski followed with 10 points and a career-high six rebounds.
Sophomore Eli Robinson chipped-in with nine points and had game-high's of 10 rebounds and four steals. Freshman Kam Sanders added eight points. Junior forward Josh Gatete had a career-high three assists.
Air Force returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 11, with a Veteran's Day showdown with Long Island. Tip time is 2 pm MT.
