
Slife Named MW Gymnast, Bars and Floor Specialist of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophomore Maggie Slife of the Air Force Women's Gymnastics team was once again named Mountain West Gymnast of the Week, along with earning top weekly honors on uneven bars and floor exercise.
Slife earned the all-around title on Sunday against Boise State and Greenville, finishing with a 39.225. The Falcons' anchor and reigning Mountain West Gymnast of the Week closed with a pair of podiums on bars and floor on the way to another league-high all-around finish.
On bars, Slife led all scores for the day on Sunday, landing a 9.925 to match the second-highest bars finish in program history – a score last earned by Amber Boll in the 2023 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship, and the Falcons' first 9.900 or better on the apparatus this season.
Slife led a season-best effort for Air Force on floor, scoring a 9.925 to earn another top four all-time program finish. Four Falcons ended the day with a 9.825 or better, resulting in a season-high 49.150 for Air Force.
The awards mark Slife's tenth Gymnast of the Week honor of her career and her fifth consecutive this season (the only MW gymnast to earn the award so far); Slife has thus far additionally earned three bars specialist honors, while notching the first floor specialist award of her career. At 10 total weekly honors in 2025 the sophomore all-arounder stands as the most decorated gymnast in the Mountain West this season.
