
Falcons Score 194.750 Win in Season Opener Over Winona State

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – On Friday evening, Air Force Women's Gymnastics opened its 2026 season in resounding fashion, pulling together a 194.750-190.025 win over Winona State which included an all-time performance on balance beam in Cadet West Gym.
Opening the evening on vault, Air Force scored a 48.675, led by a trio of 9.775 finishes each for senior Kylee Greene, sophomore Alyssa Bigler and reigning Mountain West Gymnast of the Year, junior Maggie Slife. 9.775 proved to be the high score of the day, with senior team captain Gabriella Hartley's 9.700 finishing fifth on the evening.
Air Force had an all-time debut on uneven bars, finishing with a 49.025. The score tied the program's fifth-best all-time finish and marked the 10th time in Falcon history scoring a 49 or better in the event. Greene stuck her landing, scoring a career-high 9.850 in her first judged bars routine since the 2023 season. Bigler followed up with 9.825 to score her second-highest career mark and Slife anchored the Falcons with the program's first 9.900 of the year. Hartley picked up where she left off from the previous season on bars, scoring a 9.775 to match her career high.
Slife continued to dominate the night, earning a 9.875 on balance beam to lead the Falcons through the third event of the night. Sophomore Alyssa Bigler completed the one-two with Slife, earning a 9.825 to match her career best. Air Force finished on beam with a 48.250.
Closing out the evening on floor exercise, Slife and Bigler both anchored a 48.800 finish for the Falcons. Slife closed her evening on a strong 9.875 floor routine to secure her third top score of the night. Bigler secured her second 9.8 or better of the evening, closing out her sophomore opener with a 9.825 finish.
