
Slife Named 2026 College Gym News’ Most Valuable Gymnast

Junior Air Force gymnast and two-time Mountain West Gymnast of the Year Maggie Slife was tabbed as College Gym News' 2026 Most Valuable Gymnast, the platform announced on Monday morning in its annual end-of-season awards.
Slife was additionally nominated for Gymnast of the Year, a prize which fell to LSU's Kailin Chio. Slife closed out her junior season representing the Air Force Academy in the 2026 National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championships as an individual qualifier. She was the first Falcon gymnast to ever advance into the national championship. Slife ranked inside the top-10 nationally throughout the 2026 season on uneven bars and as an all around competitor.
Additionally, Mountain West Coach of the Year Jennifer Green and assistant Sharon Kelly were tabbed as nominees for CGN's Coaching Staff of the Year following the Falcons' seismic 2026 season which saw Air Force competing in its first NCAA regional since 2002.
