
Slife Named to Eleventh Career MW Gymnast of the Week Award, Adds Floor Specialist Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophomore gymnast Maggie Slife of the Air Force Women's Gymnastics team was named Mountain West Gymnast of the Week and Co-Floor Specialist of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday morning.
In a tri at San Jose State with the Spartans and UC Davis (Feb. 23), Slife, the Falcons' standalone all arounder, scored a league-best 39.325. Slife earned top three finishes in three of four events, finishing second for the day on floor exercise (9.875), while tying for third on vault (9.750) and uneven bars (9.850).
This week's recognition marks Slife's eleventh career Gymnast of the Week honor and her sixth this year. Slife has earned six of seven top gymnast accolades awarded by the Mountain West this season; Additionally, Slife adds her second-consecutive floor specialist award and the second of her Air Force career to an extensive list of honors for her young career; At 11 total weekly honors in 2025 the sophomore all-arounder stands as the most decorated gymnast in the Mountain West this season. As a team, Air Force notched its 14th and 15th weekly awards on the season.
Air Force Women's Gymnastics resumes competition on Friday, taking on Boise State at ExtraMile Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. MT.
