IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING
While an early-season trip to Lincoln had been a longtime fixture on the Falcons' indoor schedule, this weekend's Frank Sevigne Invitational will mark the first time since 2016 that Air Force will compete in a meet at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
Backed by a pair of Top 15 placements from Texas Tanner, two Falcons are listed among the NCAA Top 20 after the Jan. 31-Feb. 1 weekend of competition. Tanner is ranked No. 8 in the shot put (63'7") and No. 15 in the weight throw (73'0½") following his record-setting day at the Ted Nelson Invitational, while Morgan Glaser is listed No. 19 in the high jump after her season-opening clearance of 5'11¼" at the Wyoming Power Meet.
SQUAD GOALS
With a combined distance of 73.55 meters, the quartet of Texas Tanner, Cooper Stroka, Massimo Grisotto, and Arden Jenkins hold a top 20 ranking in the Feb. 4 edition of the USTFCCCA #EventSquad Rankings – which are determined by the cumulative season-best marks from a team's top-four athletes in the national descending order list. Air Force is also ranked within the top 25 for 3000 meters, as Zach Ayers, Max Sannes, Josh Razo, and Tanner Lindahl are listed 24th with a combined time of 32:20.36.

THE LILLIE EFFECT

Stroka, who vaulted to No. 2 on the all-time standings with his throw, joined teammate Texas Tanner (22.26m), 2024 graduate Gerrit Tamminga (20.32m ) and 2023 graduate Jaret Prete (20.41m) – all Lillie-coached athletes – as the only Falcons to break the 20-meter barrier.
