
Women’s Tennis Takes on Eastern Washington, Gonzaga

Air Force Women's Tennis is back on the road this weekend looking to build on a hot start to the 2025 dual season, as the Falcons head to the Stevens Center in Spokane, Washington to take on Eastern Washington at 1 p.m. MT Friday, and host Gonzaga, Saturday at the same time.

In the Rankings:
Freshman doubles team Shivaani Selvan and Sofia Mavor cracked the ITA Division I Women's doubles rankings, falling in at No. 79. Selvan/Mavor are one of two doubles pairings from the Mountain West to make the Feb. 5 rankings (Zdena Safarova/Maya Dutta, Boise State). The duo currently stands at 3-1 after a 3-0 start that included a 6-1 win over Colorado pair Pia Rebec/Lera Alexin.
Falcons at a Glance:
The Falcons enter week three of the dual season at 3-2, after splitting results on the road last weekend at Northern Iowa (W, 6-1) and against Minnesota (L, 4-0). Both of Air Force's losses to date have been to Power Four opponents, narrowly falling 4-3 to a Colorado team currently 4-1, and a shutout loss in a neutral site match against Minnesota.
Overall, the Falcons are a combined 25-12 (.677) on the season. Falcon doubles teams currently stand at 10-3 (.769); Air Force's go-to lineup in doubles (Alexis Odom/Maya Michalski, Nadia Kojonroj/Arianna Van Houweling, Selvan/Mavor) are each 3-1 to open the season.
