
Air Force Fencing With Three Qualifiers For NCAA Championships

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing had three cadet-athletes selected as qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships, announced today by the NCAA. All three qualifiers for the Falcons come from the epee weapon, with two from the women's team and one from the men's.
Sophomore Christina Watrall and junior Ellie Kim qualified for women's epee. Watrall is the two-time defending NCAA West Regional women's epee champion. She is coming off a weekend that saw her win gold at both the West Regional and MPSF Championships the following day. Kim was the runner-up silver medalist both days.
Joining the two from the women's team is junior Omar Emara. Emara earned the qualification with a Bronze medal finish in men's epee at the West Regional. He also won Gold at the MPSF Championships.
This is the second NCAA's appearance for Watrall and the first for both Kim and Emara.
The NCAA Championships takes place March 20-23 in University Park, Pa., with Penn State as the host institution.
