Texas Tanner Earns All-America Honors in the Shot Put

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Air Force junior Texas Tanner claimed second-team All-America honors in the shot put this afternoon (March 15), as he wrapped up competition at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach.
Tanner recorded a throw of 17.38 meters (57'0¼") on his opening attempt to finish 16th in the championship field and become the first member of the Air Force men's throwing team to earn All-America honors in an indoor event.
Wit the indoor season complete, Air Force turns its attention to the outdoor portion of the 2024-25 campaign, which begins next weekend (March 21-22) at the Dan Caprioglio Invitational in Pueblo.
