Head caoch Taylor Hollander discusses progress from last season, Wyoming and Senior Day.
Air Force Women's Tennis takes on its regular season finale on Thursday afternoon, hosting the Wyoming Cowgirls at 2:30 p.m. at the intercollegiate courts.
Prior to first serve, Air Force Athletics will honor Falcon team captain Alexis Odom, set to graduate this upcoming May and commission into the United States Air Force.
Odom, a Business Management major from Spring, Texas, will be attending pilot training upon graduation in May with hopes to earn a seat in either a combat transport or bomber. Odom currently sports 105 singles victories and 126 doubles wins for her Falcon career. She earned All-Mountain West Doubles recognition in 2023 after a 26-8 season with former teammate and Air Force graduate Sydney Fitch, leading Air Force on 12-straight team doubles victories on the way to the Falcons' first-ever appearance in the championship round of the Mountain West Tournament.
Air Force currently combines for 33-19 (.635) in dual doubles and 51-54 (.486) in singles. In doubles, the Falcons currently ride a five-match win streak earning the doubles point in a best two sets of three format. Nadia Kojonroj (11-6), Alexis Odom (11-6), Arianna Van Houweling (11-5), Shivaani Selvan (10-5) and Maya Michalski (10-6) individually lead Air Force in wins, with duo Odom/Michalski leading at 10-6 while sporting four-straight wins. Van Houweling and Kojonroj both top the Falcons' singles production with 11-5 and 10-7 records respectively.
Wyoming enters its regular season finale at 7-14. The Cowgirls are 3-1 in their last four matches, scoring wins over UNLV (4-1), Utah State (4-0) and Colorado State (4-1).
