
Five Falcons Named to the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., - Last week, The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named five Air Force swimmers to the Spring 2025 Scholar All-American Second Team. Louie Body, Tommy Nagle, Tucker Rice, Bridon Rosales, and Tanner Wilson comprise the most Falcons to be honored, at once, in program history.
CSCAA Scholar All-American Second Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
Louie Body closed out his junior year with the CSCAA Scholar All-American honor. The Jacksonville, Fla., native was also recognized on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as well as the Academy's Athletic Director's and Commandant's List. At the Western Athletic Conference Championships, Body notched a podium finish in the 200 backstroke at 1:43.98. His bronze medal time sits at second all-time for the Falcons, made an NCAA B Standard cut, and is a personal best. Body also collected an eighth-place finish in the 100 backstroke for a personal best, 48.41, to sit at ninth all-time for Air Force. Across the six meets he competed this season, the Area Studies major totaled eight top five placements.
Recent graduate, 2nd Lt Tommy Nagle closed out his career on the CSCAA Scholar All-American Second Team. Over the 13 meets he competed this season, Nagle secured 15 top five placements and represented Air Force at the USA Swimming National Championships, where he notched a personal best in the 50 breaststroke. At the WAC Championships, the computer science major locked in a personal best and NCAA B Standard with a time of 53.00 in the 100 breast, for fourth place. Nagle also claimed fourth in the 200 breast after clocking an NCAA B Standard and another personal best at 1:55.82. Additionally, he was named to USAFA's Dean's List.
Tucker Rice earned a spot on the CSCAA Scholar All-American Second Team after posting a great sophomore season. The distance swimmer took 13 top five finishes across the 13 meets he competed. Rice earned fifth place at the WAC Championships after recording an NCAA B Standard and a personal best in the 1650 freestyle, at 15:19.06. He also placed ninth in the 500 freestyle with a personal best time of 4:24.00. Additionally, the Aeronautical Engineering major was recognized for his academic efforts on the CSC Academic All-District Team and the Academy's Athletic Director's and Dean's Lists.
Rising C1C, Bridon Rosales brings home his first career CSCAA Scholar All-American distinction and was also placed on USAFA's Athletic Director's and Dean's Lists. Across the regular season, the Norfolk, Va., native claimed six first place finishes in the 100 breaststroke, as well as 18 top five individual placements. At the WAC Championships, Rosales finished in sixth place for an NCAA B Standard and a personal best in the 100 breaststroke (53.35), ranking sixth all-time for Air Force. Additionally, he also placed seventh in the 200 breaststroke (1:58.58) and was named WAC Second Team All-Conference. Rosales sits at eighth all-time in the 200 breaststroke (1:57.80) for the Falcons.
Following his freshman year, Tanner Wilson is the final of the Falcons' honorees on CSCAA Scholar All-American Second Team. In addition, he was named to the Academy's Commandant's and Dean's Lists. Over the course of the 11 meets he competed, Wilson dominated, recording 27 top ten individual finishes, with 20 top five placements during the regular season. The Sumner, Wash., native placed fifth at the WAC Championships with a time of 1:56.11 in the 200 breaststroke, an NCAA B Standard and the third-best Academy time. He took another fifth place finish in the 100 breaststroke at 52.12 for another NCAA B Standard and fifth overall at USAFA. His efforts earned him the title of WAC Men's Freshman of the Year.
