
Brooks Morrell to compete in Stephens Cup

MORRELL SELECTED TO COMPETE AS INDIVIDUAL: Air Force senior Brooks Morrell has been selected to compete in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, Sept. 15-17, at the Shoreacres Golf Club in Lake Bluff, Ill. Morrell the fifth Falcon to compete in the event as Colter Baca played in 2021, Isaac Layne played in 2022, Aaron Kuznik competed in 2023 and Cameron Kahle competed in 2024.
ABOUT THE STEPHENS CUP: The Jackson T. Stephens Cup is back for its fifth year. The tournament is named in honor of Jack Stephens, the former chairman of the Augusta National Golf Club.
MEDIA COVERAGE: The three-day competition will be televised live on GOLF Channel and will air Monday, September 15 from 5–8 p.m. ET; Tuesday, September 16 from 4–7 p.m. ET; and Wednesday, September 17 from 4–7 p.m. ET.

THE FIELD: The Stephens Cup brings together the nation's top collegiate golfers. This year's field will again feature seven NCAA Division 1 men's and women's teams, as well as leading players from the service academies and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) competing as individuals. The men's team field includes: Arizona, LSU, North Carolina, Northwestern, SMU and Texas.
THE FORMAT: The tournament format will be 54 holes of stroke play setting the field for a final day of match play based on the stroke-play team finish.. Tournament week will begin with a practice round and college-am tournament on Sunday, Sept. 14, followed by 36 holes on Monday, Sept. 15 and 18 holes on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The match play final round will be Wednesday, Sept. 17.
ABOUT THE COURSE: Nestled along the pristine shoreline of Lake Michigan in Lake Bluff, Ill., Shoreacres Golf Club stands as one of the most revered and quietly prestigious golf clubs in the United States. Built in 1916 and designed by renowned Golden Age architect Seth Raynor, Shoreacres is one of the most enduring examples of classical golf course architecture in the United States. Raynor's signature approach, defined by bold green complexes, strategic shot values, and a masterful use of natural landforms, has made the course both a connoisseur's favorite and a true test of competitive play.
