Women’s Tennis to Host Seventh Annual Bedford Cup, Sept. 19-21

Head Coach Taylor Hollander Recaps Jon Messick Debut, Talks Bedford Cup Weekend
Air Force Women's Tennis makes its return to the Academy this weekend, as the Falcons get set to host their seventh annual ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains, Sept. 19-21, at the USAFA outdoor tennis courts.
The Field: Air Force, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Idaho, Idaho State, New Mexico, Texas Tech, Utah State, Wyoming.
Format: Singles competition will be comprised of five compass draws composed of 16 players; Doubles will be a single draw with a maximum of 32 teams. All main-draw singles matches will be best-of-three tiebreak sets with full three-round sets; Doubles competitors will play one set to six.
Competition Schedule: On Friday morning, matches are set to begin at 9:15 a.m. with the first two rounds of doubles followed by the opening round of singles play. Saturday, beginning at the same time with a single round of doubles/singles to be played. Sunday is set to begin at 9:45 a.m. with the conclusion of both stages.
