
Perkins and Doig Earn Mountain West Swimming Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., - A pair of Falcons earned Mountain West weekly awards following their performances for a 3-0 record this past weekend, as released by conference officials on Tuesday morning. Chloe Perkins was named MW Diver of the Week for the first time this season and the second in her career, while Natalie Doig was selected as the MW Freshman of the Week, her first conference recognition.
C3C Perkins, a 2024-25 MW All-Conference team selection, earned MW Diver of the Week after helping the Falcons to victories over Northern Colorado, along with league opponents Colorado State and New Mexico. On Friday against the Bears, the Raleigh, N.C., native scored an NCAA Zone qualifying 285.83 on the 3-meter springboard for first place, while scoring 248.93 on the 1-meter. The following dual meet against CSU and UNM saw Perkins score 295.55 for another gold and NCAA Zone qualifier on the 3-meter. Additionally, she qualified for Zones with her 1-meter score of 266.55.

Doig earned her first collegiate conference awards after her participation in the Falcons' trio of wins. She tied as Air Force's high point against Northern Colorado, scoring 18 with her pair of first place individual finishes in the 100 (57.91) and 200 fly (2:06.42), the first top placements in her career at Air Force, as well as her split in the second place 400 medley relay. In her efforts against the Rams and the Lobos, the Melbourne Beach, Fla., native was the runner-up in the 200 fly (2:07.70) and took third in the 100 fly (57.85).
