Newcomers Earn first Taste of Friday Night Fights

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- A handful of newcomers stepped into the ring for their first taste of Friday Night Fights on Jan. 16, as the Air Force boxing team kicked off the second half of the 2025-26 season with eight bouts in the Cadet Gym Boxing Room.
The card saw two bouts end before the final bout, as Catherine Dean opened the day with a referee-stopped 175-pound win over Aeriya Perusek, and Ruslan Damron earned second-round victory over Landon Tsang in a 155-pound contest.
Rylan Pollack and James Stockton were unanimously declared the victor in their respective debut bouts, as Pollack defeated Roman Bowman at 156 pounds and Stockton earned the 176-pound victory over Papa Sall. The remaining four victories came by way of split decisions. Mikayla Gangadeen decisioned Addison Eldridge at 126 pounds and Chikamdi Okeakpu earned the win over Amiya Farias at 145 pounds, while Trenton Blair claimed a 147-pound win over Tavion Duenas and Lesha Chen claimed the win in his 159-pound bout with Andrew-Micah Mossman.
Air Force is back in the Cadet Gym Boxing Room next Saturday (Jan. 24), when it welcomes several West Region teams to Colorado for the third-annual Falcon Invitational.
