
Air Force Falls At Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Air Force men's basketball (3-16, 0-8 MW) fell to Colorado State (11-7, 2-5 MW), 81-52, in Mountain West action Tuesday night at Moby Arena. Freshman guard Kam Sanders led the Falcons with 11 points.
Colorado State shot 52 percent from the field, knocking down 10 three's on the night. Jase Butler, Brandon Rechsteiner and Josh Pascarelli each scored 11 points to lead a balanced CSU attack.
Air Force struggled to get its offense going in the first half, falling behind 38-21 at the half. The Falcon shot just 29 percent from the field and 14 percent from three. Colorado State made seven three's in the opening half.
The Falcons had a stronger second half, scoring 31 points. Colorado State shot 56 percent in the second half however, never letting Air Force get any closer.
Sanders scored his 11 points on 5 of 11 shooting from the field. He also led the Falcons with two steals and tied for the team-lead with two assists. Freshman Lucas Hobin chipped in with 10 points, going a perfect 3-for-3 from the line. Sophomore Eli Robinson had a game-high 10 rebounds.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Jan. 24 at Boise State. Tip time is 2 pm MT from ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho, and the game will be streamed on the MW Network.
