Wing Open Tournament Continues Friday

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Boxing action continues this Friday (Feb. 20), when 32 cadets enter the ring for the next round of competition at the 2026 Wing Open Tournament. The card will include 12 semifinal final bouts and four championship contests.
Action is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. [MT] inside the Cadet Gym and admission is free.
Four Wing Open titles are on the line, as championship bouts will be contested in the women's 106-point weight division [freshman Lizette Mendoza vs junior Sierra Dace] and men's 165-pound [freshman Ayo Aweh vs junior Ellison Taylor], 185-pound [junior Zion Martley vs sophomore Oude Owino] and 195-pound [freshman Bryce Spiller vs junior Christian Hughes] weight divisions. The remaining 12 bouts will feature semifinal contests to determine the final card for next week's show.
The champions of the Wing Open will form the backbone of the Air Force squad that will represent the Academy at the upcoming National Collegiate Boxing Association [NCBA] regional and national championships. Tickets to the Wing Open finals are available at AFTicket.com and the championship round will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network.
