First Falcons Advance in Wing Open Tournament

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- Four Air Force freshman kicked off the 2026 Wing Open boxing tournament this afternoon [Feb. 4] with a pair of first-round contests in the Cadet Gym Boxing Room. Rylan Pollock and Leshan Chen became the first two Academy contenders to earn advancing victories in the 68th annual tournament.
Competing for the right to advance in the 156-pound bracket, Pollock earned a unanimous decision over Andrew-Micah Mossman and Chen outlasted Ruslan Damron in win by decision.
The Falcons will close out the regular season this Friday [Feb. 6] at the Mills Lane Memorial in Reno, while tonight's victors will return to the Cadet Gym Boxing Room next week [Feb. 13] for the next round of competition in the 2026 Wing Open.

156-lbs.: Rylan Pollock [CS-37] dec. Andrew-Micah Mossman [CS-11]
156-lbs.: Leshan Chen [CS-10] dec. Ruslan Damron [CS-05]
