With the release of the first NCAA coaches' rankings, two Falcons are among the top 33 of their respective divisions, with others sitting just outside the rankings. Air Force C4C Karson Tompkins checks in at No. 32 in the 197 division while C3C Logan Fowler is No. 33 in the 165 division.
Tompkins, holding the highest rank of No. 19 by Intermat, now sits at No. 30 in the FloWrestling poll and No. 32 in The College Wrestling Report.
A Brief History
Wyoming owns a decided advantage in the all-time series with the Falcons. The Cowboys are 48-13 all-time, which includes a 25-1 mark in Laramie. Wyoming claimed last year's matchup, 27-9, at USAFA.

Three Falcons picked up wins in the dual highlighted by an upset in the 141 class.
At 133, Gavin Caprella battled back from an early deficit to best R-Jr. Stockton O'Brien, 6-5. A four-point score in the third period via escape and takedown propelled Caprella to victory
Falcon standout Carter Nogle knocked off No. 18 Cole Brooks by decision, 6-3. Nogle battled back from an early deficit to score a first period stall point and third period escape and takedown— with the addition of riding time.
At 165, Logan Fowler took on R-Sr. Cooper Voorhees. Fowler was quick to score a slick takedown in the first period, and soon thereafter pancaked a scrambling Vorhees to his back for four nearfall points to take a 7-0 lead at the end of the first three minutes. Fowler added an escape and takedown to his tally in the second to hold an 11-0 lead heading into the final period. Despite a rally from Voorhees, Fowler held off the Cowboy with a 14-9 decision.

Youth Wrestling Day for Young Falcons
Air Force is proud to host a free youth clinic (K-8) prior to the February 15 Big 12 dual against California Baptist. Aspiring young athletes can join the Band of Birds in the wrestling room starting at 10:30 a.m. Clinic check-in beings at 10:15 while the clinic concludes at 11:30 a.m. The Falcon youths are encouraged to stay after the dual for an autograph signing.
Last Weekend
The 14th ranked South Dakota State Jack Rabbits defeated Air Force, 37-5, Friday evening in the First Bank & Trust Arena. Air Force sophomore Carter Nogle had the highlight performance for the Falcons, handily defeating Tyson Peach by technical fall.
On Sunday, Air Force won four matches in the 23-15 loss to North Dakota State at the Scheels Center. Falcon team captain C1C Tucker Owens got Air Force off to a hot start as he upended No. 17 Ezekiel Witt in an explosive third period, 9-2.
Nogle was exceptional in the 141 class, winning his second match of the weekend by fall (6:31) against Zytavius Williams. Nogle was leading the match wire-to-wire, tallying his 15th win this season.
C3C Logan Fowler battled to a gritty overtime win against Boeden Greenly, TB-2 9-6, despite being down on the cards heading into the third period. An escape attempt turned reversal propelled Fowler to the tying point to send the duo to overtime. Fowler secured the win with a TB-2 takedown in Air Force's longest dual match of the season.
Rylan Kuhn finished the dual on a high note as he bested Shilo Jones, 6-4. Kuhn's four-point first period and last-minute escape in the third period proved the difference in the match.
