Men's Swim Closes Regular Season at Denver First Chance Invite

DENVER, Colo., - Air Force men's swimming wrapped up the regular season with the completion of the Denver First Chance Invite on Saturday morning at El Pomar Natatorium, marking the beginning of championship season. The Falcons recorded three top finishes on the day.
Senior Louie Body won the 200 back with his time of 1:47.40 and Garrett Kennedy went for third at 1:48.66.
In the 200 breast, Anthony Sebastian earned a win after clocking a time of 2:00.38 and was joined in the top by five Brandon Cho (2:01.10), Matthew Doty (2:02.37), and Bridon Rosales (2:02.58).
Distance swimmer Tyler Surratt picked up a victory at 4:33.11 in the 500 free, while Tucker Rice (4:35.51) and Ralph Fiscus (4:40.94) placed second and fourth.
For silver in the 100 free, Jordan Falls recorded a time of 44.97, with Joe Christ (45.06) and James Winterfield (45.22) taking third and fourth.
Winterfield (47.47) and Danny Detjen (48.95) finished back-to-back in the 100 fly for second and third.
In the 200 IM, Jonas Dark placed second after touching the wall at 1:51.33 and was joined in fourth by Evan Witte at 1:52.61.
The Falcons look ahead to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship in Pharr, Tx., from Feb. 25-28.
