
James Winterfield and Tanner Wilson to Represent Air Force at the 2026 NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships

ATLANTA, Ga., - Air Force men's swimming is sending two Falcons, James Winterfield and Tanner Wilson, to compete at the 2026 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships hosted at the McAuley Aquatic Center from March 25-28.

JAMES WINTERFIELD
Team captain Winterfield will represent Air Force in the 100 fly on Thursday, March 26, and the 200 IM on Saturday, March 28. At the MPSF Championships, the Charleston, S.C., native captured the 100 fly title with a time of 46.06, breaking the Academy, MPSF, and pool records while securing NCAA qualification. He also posted a qualifying time of 1:43.99 in the 200 IM, resetting his own program record. Over the course of the season, Winterfield recorded six event wins and 16 podium finishes.
TANNER WILSON
Sophomore Wilson will compete in the 100 breast on Thursday, March 26, and the 200 breast on Friday, March 27. He secured MPSF titles in both events to qualify for the NCAA Championships. In the 100 breast, his time of 52.19 ranks second all-time at the Academy, while his 1:54.28 mark in the 200 breast set both the Air Force and MPSF records. Wilson recorded six wins and nine podium finishes over the course of the season.
