FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., - Air Force diving wrapped up NCAA Zones on Wednesday March 11 at Wall Aquatic Center. Freshman Lucas Gerten earned a finals spot in all three diving events.
On the first day of competition, Gerten was the lone representative in the men's 3-meter finals, placing 13th with a combined score of 662.15. The women competed on the 1-meter and saw Kacey Hu place highest in the preliminary round at 31st with a 229.25.
The second day, Lexi Gregory earned a spot in finals on the women's 3-meter and scored a total of 530.50 to place 17th overall. C4C Gerten picked up his second 13th place finish on the platform after he totaled a 644.60. Teammate Brady Nichol followed right behind, scoring a 629.35 to take 14th.
On the final day of NCAA Zones, Gerten scored 597.15 on the 1-meter to finish in 12th, the highest placement of any Falcon in Flagstaff. On the women's platform, Chloe Perkins recorded a score of 194.30 in the preliminary round, placing 32nd.
