Air Force Drops MW-Opener At San Diego State

Air Force men's tennis dropped a 4-2 contest at San Diego State (7-8) Sunday afternoon in its Mountain West-opener at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
The Aztecs took the doubles point and then went 3-2 in singles.
Senior Jack Brown and sophomore Langdon Tingleaf posted wins in singles to lead the Falcons. After SDSU won the doubles point, Tingleaf tied the match up at 1-1 with his win in singles. The sophomore won at No. 4 over Lars Johann in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
After the Aztecs won at No. 1 to go back up 2-1, the Falcons tied it back up with Brown's singles win. Brown won at No. 3 over Finn Willman in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
San Diego State went on to win at 5 and 2 singles to clinch the win. Sophomore Tyler Leaird played into the third set at No. 6 with the match ending tied 6-6 in third set.

"The Falcons competed well today, and had a lot of opportunities. There were a bunch of deuce points and critical games across all the courts. We talked after about playing those points the right way and making good adjustments for the next time we find ourselves in that position. Langdon was dominant in singles and Jack played his solid, aggressive tennis and it was good to see Tyler split and come back from a break down in the third set. Thanks to all the Falcon faithful for the support including local AF Tennis alum Mike Ahn and Phil Yim. We're getting ready for another test tomorrow against UCSD. Go Falcons!"
