
Air Force Downed By #72 Utah State Sunday

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis fell to #72 Utah State (12-5, 4-0 MW), 4-0, in Mountain West play Sunday afternoon at the USAFA Outdoor Tennis Courts. The Falcons moved to 6-10, 1-3 MW on the season.
Facing its third-consecutive ranked opponent, the Falcons struggled from the onset, as the Aggies swept doubles for the point and then went 3-0 in singles to clinch the match.
Air Force fell 6-1 at No. 1 doubles and 6-4 at No. 2.
In singles, Utah State won at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 in straight sets. Matthew Staton battled back to take the second match at No. 6, but the match was abondoned. Jack Brown and Langdon Tingleaf held second-set leads in their No. 2 and No. 4 matches that also went abandoned.

"What a battle against Utah St today. They played some of the best tennis on our home courts I've seen from a visiting team. I was proud of the fight back after doubles. Jack was serving for the match, Langdon was about to split, and Matt had just split. Our team continues to compete well. On to the next one at home next weekend. Go Falcons!"
Air Force returns to action Friday, April 3, hosting Oral Roberts.
