
Jon Jordan and Capt. Sid Tomes Remain On Air Force Men’s Basketball Staff

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Jon Jordan and Capt. Sid Tomes will return to Air Force men's basketball in 2026-27 as both will be on new head coach Joe Crispin's coaching staff, announced today.
"Jon Jordan and Capt. Sid Tomes love the game of basketball and the Academy," Crispin said. "They know what it takes to thrive in this program and I am confident they will help us write a great story for Air Force Basketball in the years ahead. I am thankful to have them with us!"
Jordan has been an assistant coach for nine seasons with Falcon basketball. He finished the 2025-26 season as the Interim Head Coach for the final 15 games of the season. Jordan was a four-year letterwinner with Air Force basketball, graduating in 1985. He served 20 years in the Air Force, retiring in 2004 with the rank of Major. Jordan's primary focus in 2026-27 will be on the operations aspect of the program.
Tomes returns for his second year as the military coach with Falcon hoops. Tomes was also a four-year letterwinner with Air Force basketball, graduating in 2020. During his playing career at Air Force, Tomes was a three-year starter and team co-captain as a senior. As a senior, his 84.6 percent free throw shooting led the team and ranks 10th all-time at Air Force in the single-season record book.
