
Julie Segroves Named Mountain West Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following another career weekend at the Drake Relays, first-year Air Force pole vaulter Julie Segroves was named the Mountain West Women's Freshman of the Week this afternoon (April 28). It is the first conference award for the Biloxi, Miss., native.
Segroves recorded a personal-best clearance of 4.08 meters (13'4½") at the Drake Relays to improve her No. 2 mark on the program's all-time standings and place fourth in the "championship" division of the pole vault standings. The No. 10-ranked Freshman in the NCAA this season, Segroves currently holds the top clearance by a freshman in the Mountain West and is ranked third in the conference overall.
Air Force is back in action this Saturday (May 2), when it travels to Fort Collins for the Doug Max Invitational.
